Bridge Cranes

Robust Lifting Solutions

Overhead bridge cranes are high-performance systems built to manage heavy loads in demanding industries, such as manufacturing, warehousing, and construction. Combining strength, versatility, and reliability ‒ bridge cranes are an ideal choice for material handling in any industrial environment. Besides fast and accurate handling, their span, speed, and lifting capacity can be customized to fit any operational need. Crafted with advanced technology and high-quality materials, they are a powerful and precise solution for your workspace.

Bridge Crane Configurations

Bridge cranes consist of parallel runways with a traveling bridge spanning the gap between them. The hoist is carried by a trolley that glides back and forth along the bridge, giving you precise control over its movement and position. This simple design makes it easy to adapt bridge cranes to the specific dimensions of your facility, with different configurations available to help maximize productivity.

  • Single Girder: A single bridge beam supported on either side by an end truck. Suitable for light to medium applications, these systems are less costly and put less strain on the building’s superstructure.
  • Double Girder: Two bridge beams supported by an end truck on either side. Suitable for large spans and heavy applications, these systems not only have a larger load capacity, but are more stable and capable of supporting auxiliary equipment.
  • Top Running: The bridge runs along a fixed rail or track system installed on the top of each runway beam, which carries the crane to your desired location. Top running cranes have no limiting capacity and can be constructed to handle small or large loads.
  • Under Running: Also known as underhung cranes. The bridge is installed on the bottom flange of the runway beams. These systems are normally supported by the roof or ceiling, and are designed to take full advantage of the building’s width and height.

Advantages and Benefits

Bridge cranes are a common feature across multiple industries, including mining, logistics, shipbuilding, steel fabrication, and automotive production due to several key benefits built into their design.

  • Space Optimization: Bridge cranes utilize vertical space to lift and transfer heavy loads without obstructing work on your production floor.
  • Efficiency and Productivity: Bridge cranes provide continuous, uninterrupted operation, leading to greater output in manufacturing facilities and higher throughput in shipping centers.
  • Process Integration: Incorporating bridge braces into existing production lines reduces downtime and helps eliminate bottlenecks.
  • Scalability: Bridge cranes can be swiftly expanded or upgraded in order to meet rising demands on your operation.
  • Cost-Effective: With proper maintenance, bridge cranes can last for years without experiencing any significant issues, making them a valuable, long-term investment.
  • Safety: Emergency stop buttons, overload protection, and anti-collision systems minimize the risk of accidents and collisions, for a safe working environment.
